I was born and raised in St. Louis and started following sports in the early-to-mid 1960s. This is a city that will tip their hats to opponents and applaud a great performance, regardless of uniform (most recently see Paul Skenes). It is the "Show Me" state, after all, and delivering matters above all else. Yes, we might boo the GM, the owner, or the commissioner (see Gary Bettman). But I have never understood the Boo Birds' hostility towards players in Philadelphia. I guess it's become a deeply entrenched tradition. I've got a final sentiment for Philly fans, too. Boohoo, ya losers.

Thanks for reading and sharing. The Phillies fans do not cover themselves with glory with the booing of their own good players.
